Before the tour / booking

At this moment, we are trying to provide the tour for the smallest groups (max. 8 participants for one guide), however if it is possible, if there would be a family of 4 and a couple, we will try to prepare 2 guides to avoid the need of 2m distance during the tour (families are not mandatory to keep the distance). Also, all our guides are using face protection with at least FFP2 protection, each vehicle is disinfected before and after each tour. Also, each guide must obey and comply with health and safety regulations defined by the Czech Republic (face mask, Antigen negative test, etc. according to current situation).
We strongly recommend to browse through “Highlights, Included in the price, What’s not included and The activity is not suitable for, Picture of the track” sections before booking the tour, which are located below each product description, so you will see exactly which sights and services you will experience during the tour. You can see all sections according to each vehicle: Segway, E-scooter, E-bike, Bike and Combination tour.
After many years in the business we have enough experience to find the best tour solution for you. To choose the right tour for you you should answer the following questions: What sights you would like to visit?, What is the occasion of your tour?, Which vehicle is the most suitable for the participants? How much time you would like to spend on the tour?

The more detail you know, the better we are able to prepare the tour for you. Anyway, you don’t have to worry, we will gladly help you with choosing the right vehicle and tour option for you.
It is good to know, that e-scooter, e-bikes and bikes have similar routes through the city centre of Prague. Prague was not built for riding a bike and the bike infrastructure could be much better, however we did the best to choose the most pleasant routes and paths to avoid traffic and crowds, however there are a few hilly places and we recommend to use an e-bike or an e-scooter, since the bike may not be as easy option (for example our longest 3 hours tour is approx. 11km long with elevation difference around 150 meters).

Before the tour, you can ask our staff for a recommendation, or you can even try all our vehicles before the tour, to find the best one for you.
There is no law regulation for the tour itself and no official age or weight limitations, but you should be aware, that our products are not recommended for children younger 8 years, for people above 115 kg (255 pounds) and pregnant women. It is important to know, that each participant is fully responsible for his own behavior during the whole tour and we are providing enough time to practice and an explanation of all the rules before the tour, so you can get comfortable and safe before we start.

In general, the best thing to do is to stop by at our office inside of hotel Grandior (please see question How can I reach your office? or section Contact us) and we will let every participant to try all types of our vehicles and then decide, what would be the best tour for you. Our friendly staff will always help to give you the most accurate information about the tour and vehicles, so you can make the best decisions regarding the tour.
The bike, e-bike and e-scooter tours require an advanced bike riding skill, but if you don’t feel comfortable on the bike, we can still offer you a segway tour, which do not require a bike riding skill and we can teach you how to do it in 10 minutes. In this case it’s important to know, that the segway tours are not allowed in the city center (please see next question and answer).
Unfortunately, in 2016 there was a new regulation of segway movement in Prague and the segway vehicles were forbidden in the city center. From this time, we are trying hard to find the most attractive and legal areas, where we can take you for the segway tour. The areas are best defined as “escape the crowds” or “local neighbourhood of Prague”. To orientate in the tracks, we have prepared a where you can see where each track goes and also, what sights and places are possible to see during the tour.
It is completely up to you, you can book directly on our web using “choose my tour” under each product or you can book the tour even via phone call (+420 775 004 078), using quick chat in bottom left side of our web, or even WhatsApp, Viber, or SMS (text message), where the booking is done after you will receive official confirmation.

After the booking / before the tour

In this case do not hesitate to contact us directly. You can contact us anytime at +420 775 004 078 (phone call, facetime, WhatsApp, Viber or text message), or you can use the Chat with us button and we would gladly answer any of your questions in real time.
Our office is located inside of the hotel Grandior, on the 1st floor near entrance from street Na Florenci 29. If you will enter the hotel from Na Po 42 (main entrance), you should pass the lobby hall, use the stairs or the escalator to reach the 1st floor and look for our Ecotours.cz desk behind the restaurant, opposite from the second reception. But the easiest for you will be a short message to our colleague on +420 775 004 078 with a message “please call me” and we will contact you and help you with directions if needed.
The easiest way to our office would be via Metro – station Florenc (yellow x red line, approx. 5 minutes of walking), trams no. 3, 6, 8, 14, 17, 24, 26 (the station Bl Labu is just in front of the main entrance to hotel Grandior, where our desk Ecotours.cz is located) or you can use navigation from the page Contact us.

Please, reach our office approx 10-15 minutes before your tour starts, or if your tour includes a free pick up by taxi, you will receive a taxi confirmation 24 hours before the tour, around 8-9 AM on the day of the tour and also approx. 30 minutes before the confirmed starting time of the tour and the taxi will drop you off directly near your tour guide, who will be ready for the tour.
It is not mandatory to reconfirm the tour, but we strongly advise to reconfirm all the details (pick up if included, starting time, arrival time etc.) at least 24 hours before the tour and you can also get extra information about the tour and you may be offered some extra options according to our current availability. Also, 24 hours before the tour is the right time to confirm the weather conditions or deal with any extra question if needed.
Regarding the arrival we have 2 options: with or without the taxi pick up.

1st option with the taxi pick up (all segway, e-scooter, combination tour and also all private options) in this case, you will receive the pick-up time and address confirmation in 1 hour after you book the tour, or between 8 – 9 AM in the morning of the tour or just 30 minutes before the pick-up is arranged, directly as a text message. In case of need, you can contact us anytime on (+420) 775 004 078 and our staff will confirm the pickup date, time and location.

2nd option without the taxi pick up (all small group bike and e-bike tours), please arrive approx. 15 minutes before the tour to our desk inside of hotel Grandior (please see contact us section if needed).
As we want to be prepared for all conditions, we do offer raincoats included in the price, extra gloves or even a jacket to protect you from any kind of weather. But if you would rather enjoy the tour without the rain, please contact us and we will offer you all nearest available starting dates and times, so you can choose the best for you according to your wishes and we would just simply move the tour to another time.
In this case please contact us directly and as soon as possible. We do have a standard cancellation policy, where you can cancel for free without providing a reason the latest 24 hours before the start of the tour. Anyway, in case of emergency please contact us and we will try to solve the situation personally. We only want to accept the payment from satisfied clients, however short-time notice, or no-show status without any reason will result in 100% cancellation fee.
The best thing to do before the tour is go outside approx. 60 minutes before the tour and feel the conditions so you can dress appropriately. We do not have any dress code, so we always recommend using the most comfortable outfit you have. It is also important to know, that during the tour, as we will be moving from one sight to another, it is good to realize that if it is windy, it will be even more windy during the tour and to remember especially in winter season, to cover your head, hands and faceif needed.

During and after the tour

Each tour has the same core, but our guides are trying to customize the tour according to group’s wishes as much as possible. Normally, you will meet the guide who will explain all the rules and safety instructions before the tour, you will have enough time to practice the ride on the vehicle and also, before each tour your guide will show you a booked or alternative route of the tour, using a few questions and information to customize the whole tour according to your needs. For example, for families we may spend more time with taking pictures and driving around, for students we may prepare a special information about specific sights and customize the track as well or for couples we can visit some romantic places. In case of small group tour, the guide will do maximum to cover all of the needs but on the other hand to manage everything in tour time.
Each tour includes a free 0,5 litre bottle of water, which you can use anytime during the tour to refresh yourself. Usually, we do stop for bathroom break in the middle of 120 or 180 minutes tour, but it is mainly on demand. Since it is forbidden to drink and drive, we do not recommend using any alcoholic drinks before or during the tour and also, there is no enough time for lunch. In case of a need, you can ask your guide and discuss an option for a small snack stop.
It is not mandatory to take money with you for the tour, however if you would like to have a stop for a coffee or a small snack, which is not included in the tour price, it is better to be prepared or you can ask your guide for assistance.
The tips should be not expected from our guides and they should deserve it. The best tip for the guide is an excellent review.
Your feedback is the most important for us since only you and your guide are attending the tour and we do not monitor the guide during the tour at all. Therefore, the first place where you can share your experience is directly with the office manager. Positive feedback is pushing us to do our best but also negative reviews are important for us to realize, what we should update or change immediately.
